World Bank, Sokoine University of Agriculture and University of Ghana visit TUAT

On October 23, 2018, under the World Bank’s initiative for Science, Technology and Innovation and Partnerships of Japanese and African Universities, the delegation consisting of representatives of World Bank (WB), Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) and University of Ghana (UG) visited TUAT.? The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SUA and TUAT was signed, while the joint statement for enhancing research collaboration toward the 20th anniversary of MoU was made by UG and TUAT.? The delegation visited Fuchu Campus research facilities such as the plant factory and the laboratories of plant breeding and of soil science. Further collaboration in both research and education activities was pledged among UG, SUA and TUAT. This international exchange event was successfully undertaken, with contributions by many participants including Dr. Sajitha Bashir and Dr. Saori Imaizumi from WB; Dr. Eric Yirenkyi Danquah, Dr. Daniel Kwadjo Dzidzienyo and Dr. Agyemang Danquah from UG; Dr. Apia Massawe and Dr. Makundi Rhodes Heriabdiel from SUA; and Vice President, Dr. Takayuki Okayama, Dean of Institute of Agriculture, Dr. Kazuhiro Chiba, Dr. Atsushi Chitose, Dr. Yutaka Miura, Dr. Masaaki Yamada, Dr. Tetsuya Mizutani, Dr. Tetsuya Yamada, Dr. Keisuke Katsura, Dr. Onwona-Agyeman Siaw, Dr. Soh Sugihara, Ms. Yoko Ichijo, Dr. Motoi Kusadokoro, Dr. Hiroki Wakamatsu and Dr. Shiho Kagami from TUAT.
