Lecture: "The History of Horticulture and Strawberries"

Horticultural crops include vegetables, fruit trees, and flowers, and are indispensable in our daily meals and lives. Many varieties have been developed today, and their taste and appearance have improved significantly compared to the past. Strawberries in particular are a favorite fruit of the Japanese, and Japan is said to be the number one country in the world in terms of consumption of strawberries eaten raw. Strawberries have also been improved from old varieties to become larger and sweeter, and there are now about 300 varieties. With the above in mind, we would like to introduce you to horticulture and strawberries, as well as their history.
